My Dad's Journal we made for his 80th

My sisters and I put together this journal for our Dad's 80th Birthday. We asked all his family and friends to write a memory of him and post to us. Then we put them all together in one journal for him. The tartan on the cover is the Watson Tartan. And the lure is an old one of dads he used to fish with.

I ran a fabric book making class at Cottage Flair in Ngongotaha last year. this is the journal I took along for the ladies to recreate. 

fabric Recipe books

Created these Recipe books for a friends granddaughters. and then decided to make Suzie one to. I've concertinaed the pages. which all have pockets, so the recipe card can be pulled out and more added. also the paper is able to be drawn or written on. 

International mini book swap: Our theme this swap was "The Sea"

Another amazing lot of mini books were created for all the participants. The theme this swap was "The Sea". 

Our mini books came from Canada and Australia this time. With all our mini Kiwi books winging their way overseas. All packaged safely in little parcels. ooooo imagine the postage stamps.  

I love the way everyone interpreted the theme. It just shows how different we all think, and so creative to.
