This envelope I decorated in a Military theme for the recipient
Rocket Man was for Cal who likes space related covers
These are the cool envelopes Ive received
A cool end of the world cover
And lastley a Year of the Snake cover.
Ive just joined an Envelope swap group A.C.E (Art cover exchange) www.artcoverexchange.org
All the people in the group swap decorated envelopes with each other. Usually on the theme we each like.
But sometimes on what the postage stamp has on it. Like the Year of the Snake envelope. Pam matched it with the postage stamp.
Most of the art is hand drawn or scanned images of an original piece of
art from each member. I like to add washi tape and other bits. I think I
will bind all the envelopes I receive together using the "Coptic" stitch. Once I have
enough, that is. With the "Coptic" stitch it can be a progressive
stitch, adding another envelope when I get it. So in the end (where ever that is) the book will resemble a snake.

Zine Swap
First ever "Zine" swap Ive participated in. Its an A4 page folded to create a wee book.
It is a very old style of publication, simple but stylish to produce.
And very easy for one to create something, that actulary turns into a book. I create one original, photocopied it in colour 5 times and sent it off to my Karen at
www.iamrushmore.blogspot.co.nz who is hosting the swap. I hope to get 5 "Zine's" in return. Ill post the images of the 5 I get in return when I recieve them.

Journals
I created these 3 journals. The wee red one is a sketch book. The orange cover with the green leather spine is a cook book and the Bottom one is a memory book. I loved the cook book idea. All the friends wrote a reciepe and I bound it for the ladys wedding. They had lots of old magazine pictures round the reciepes.

A Journal made from book spines
I love creating different journals. So for this one I used spines of vintage books to creat the covers. I also used lots of the pages from the books for pages in this journal.
It was a travel journal so all the titles are travel related.

Birthday Cake Topper
Here is another of my sisters amazing cake creations. She is making cake Toppers. That's a decoration that sits on top of your cake. So many people didn't want to cut the decorations when they ate their cakes, so my sister decided to make it separate so people could keep them. So here's her latest Cake topper.
I said to her one day. If you ever make me a cake topper I'd like it to have a pink couch with gold trim, Books, my cockatoos, a box of chocolates and hot dog and chips. Oh and Id be wearing my pink and white socks with my snugly pink dressing gown on. Does this picture look familiar..... I had a birthday recently and this is the cake topper she made me. I was so excited to get it. its amazing.
